STL OUTPUT
STL 3D scanning service
STL is the most widely used mesh format in 3D printing. If your goal is to print a captured shape, edit a mesh, or keep a clean digital reference of a physical part, an STL scan is usually the right choice.
ScanMyPart captures your part with structured-light 3D scanning and delivers a cleanly processed STL file — aligned, to scale, and ready to drop into a slicer or mesh editor. Your physical part is returned after scanning.
What STL scans are used for
3D printing
Sliceable mesh files from real parts
Mesh editing
A clean starting point for mesh tools
Shape capture
Preserve geometry digitally
Digital archiving
Keep a record of physical parts
Visualization
View and share part geometry
General reference
Measure and compare on screen
What you receive
- Structured-light 3D scan at up to 0.2 mm resolution
- Clean mesh processing
- Cleanly aligned, to-scale STL output
- Digital delivery, physical part returned
BEFORE YOU SHIP
If you plan to 3D print the scan, say so in your request — we'll prepare the file with printing in mind. As with all scanning, visible surface geometry is captured; internal features and very fine details may need review first.
